Urban Runner

This is my blog. I live, work and run in the city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I'm a regular 9 to 5er trying to find out what he can do with his running.

When I'm not running I've been known to enjoy the odd cup of coffee.

In Montreal

The day you leave town is often a little crazy. Today was that day.

The hamstring is coming back around. It’s been particular good when I get more stretching and/or yoga in. This is the key right now and for the next several days. On the last two runs I didn’t feel that the hamstring was a factor. It’s about time.

I’m continuing to take my iron supplements. It’s hard to say if it will help much or not but why take the chance.

I’m glad we left today for Montreal. This forced us to get out of work and get going. After today the rest of the week will be relaxing. Tomorrow morning we catch the training to Phili with a layover in New York for supper. It will be a long day traveling tomorrow but at least we don’t have to drive.

The only thing that couldn’t be done today was run. I may think about running a bit before breakfast to shake things out before the train trip.

Weight is good this week for the race. Not quite where I was in the spring but several pounds less than I was in Edmonton.

Time to relax a bit before sleepy time.
